Happy new year! Happy new composer of the month!

Andrew Lloyd Webber is our January composer of the month. He is very famous in the world of musical theatre and has been referred to as ‘The Godfather of musicals’.

Year 2 were set a home learning task to research into Andrew Lloyd Webber and make a poster, video or fact file.

Zach has made a fantastic poster here. He really enjoyed watching lots of clips and songs from some of the musicals he has written in the past. This is an excellent piece of homework Zach, well done!

Felicity wrote down three facts that she had found out about Andrew Lloyd Webber. She really enjoyed researching into one of his most famous musicals ‘Cats’.

George Gershwin

George Gershwin is our November composer of the month.

Some of the children in Year 3 have been using their music journals to show what they have learned about the composer so far and their thoughts on one of his well known compositions, “Rhapshody in Blue”.
